Part Three: Charlie Rose Guest List WEB Art by Terry Bailey
Period of March 31, 2006 to June 9, 2006- While Charlie was absent

49 WOMEN GUESTS TO 212 MEN Guests - average of 19% women during Charlie's absence (Charlie's average is 12%) from the show - While the cat's away, the mice will play!

This embedded addendum to my survey of Charlie Rose Show's guest list is the result of the fact that Charlie Rose was absent from the show from March 31 2006 to April . . . due to heart surgery and recovery. During his absence, the female to male ratio average was thrown off completely because his staff broke strongly with his mostly male guest tradition, and began to have more women guests, women guest hosts and even a discussion with a female guest host and all women guests! I, therefore, have taken the liberty to separate this time period from the rest of the count and analysis of Charlie's guests. Charlie averages 12% female guests; since his absence, the average has climbed to 19%. It was as high as 24% during this time. The decline downward began when Charlie returned to the U.S. to finish his recuperation, then worsened when he returned to the show.
